演讲者：Luise von Flotow【女性主义文学翻译理论先驱】

演讲者简介：路易斯•冯•弗拉德，美国密执安大学博士毕业，加拿大渥太华大学翻译与口译学院资深教授、院长、翻译家、国际著名翻译理论家，女性主义文学翻译理论的先驱。她翻译了大量德文、法文的文学作品到英语世界，其学术视野宽广、学术洞察力敏锐、学术兴趣广泛，稳居当前和未来翻译研究的前沿阵地。弗拉德从女性主义视角出发所进行的翻译实践与翻译批评，以及对文化的强调使得翻译成为探索性别与文化之间相互作用与影响的重要领域，也塑造了西方文化翻译研究的重要流派。长期以来，弗拉德致力于翻译研究和翻译教育事业，孜孜以求，出版专著5部，参编著作9部，翻译文学作品6部和诸多引用率名列前茅的学术论文。

摘要：The lecture discusses the focus on women writers and translators and women’s texts in general in translation studies in the 1970s and 1980s, and then explores the decline in interest in the 1990s as “feminism” came to be replaced by concepts such as “gender,” and later “queer.” It speculates on the reasons for a noticeable lull in research and publication on the topic of “women in translation” and then presents the many different angles and perspectives that Translating Women offers in this area of study. It closes with a discussion of “metramorphosis” in translation, a reference to psychoanalytic theory that returns women to the centre stage of translation theory.
